Dr. Fatemah Husain
Fatemah Husain is the founder of the Information Science Lab
(ISL) and the principal investigator of research conducted in
lab. She is an assistant professor at the Information Science
department at Kuwait University. Her research focuses on
applications and technological solutions to foster social justice.
In particular, Fatemah develops multiple systems to detect
offensive language and hate speech from social media content.
Her research also involves assistive technologies for children with learning disabilities and
investigating the effect of social media on user’s healthcare.
